I was a Design Intern at The Boston Globe. As an intern, I worked with various editors across the newsroom to visualize the Globe’s daily content in print and online. This ranged from daily newspaper pages to online data visualizations. Sports notebook
Sports notebooks are a weekly graphic section of The Boston Sunday Globe. The information is compiled by Globe sports writers and then sent to the design desk, where the designer creates a data visualization using their personal style. Doing these assignments is likened to "eating your vegetables" by past interns as they allow you to practice and perfect your design fundamentals under a deadline.

The Boston Globe convened more than 50 Globe journalists and trusted correspondents – food and arts critics, culture and travel writers, and more — and put them to work deciding what rises to the very top in Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, and Brookline.
I assisted with the digital production for this project, which included data retrieval, formatting, and web organization.
Boston grocery prices
The Boston Globe, in collaboration with market research firm Datasembly, is tracking prices of grocery store staples in the Boston area and visualizing the data on a webpage updated daily. I illustrated seven icons to represent each category and combined them to create the dominant art for the story.
Globe Magazine
Globe Magazine, published online and in the Boston Sunday Globe, informs, entertains, and inspires readers throughout New England and beyond. The magazine is published weekly and a physical copy is found inside of the Boston Sunday Globe. I designed these two spreads for a travel feature about Jeju island, South Korea's largest island.
